In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

This workout was one of Mike's favorites and he'd named it "Body Armor". From here on it will be referred to as "Murph" in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.
Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you've got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.

Did everybody notice all the new fancy dispensers?! I know it may not be exciting for you guys, but it is for me. No more baskets laying around, trips to Sam's, or toilet paper rolls put on backwards (yes, there is a CORRECT way). The best news is that in the next few weeks, as we take on the new space, we will also be getting sanitation stations out on the floor for the equipment. As the hot weather is fast approaching, timing couldn't be more perfect!

I cant say enough positive things about the 5/6am crew. Despite the early hour this group has a ton of fun. They support each other and celebrate each other's successes without regard to their own ego. They very much want each other to perform at their best. They shout and cheer the loudest. They make sure you are showing up even if it means giving another athlete a 4am wake up call. The positive attitudes are endless with this group. When they show up there are no times or scores to chase so they push each other to put it all on the line. Above all else this crew does not take themselves too seriously. They aren't coming in to beat anyone, they are coming in to get fit with their friends. To be better than they were before. This isn't an exclusive club they welcome, everyone with open arms. I highly suggest everyone try and make an early class at some point. Thanks, early birds for showing just how great the CFSG community is.
